Winnemucca’s Ranch Hand Rodeo is the largest and most exciting in Nevada. 30 teams compete for bragging rights and prizes in Saddle Bronc Riding, Steer Stopping, Wild Mugging, Trailer Loading, Team Roping, Ranch Doctoring, and Team Branding.

Winnemucca Ranch Hand Rodeo Entries:
Former Entries
Teams who competed in the 2023 Ranch Hand Rodeo will be allowed the first opportunity to enter the 2024 Ranch Hand Rodeo, provided the following eligibility requirements are met:
- The 2024 team must consist of at least 3 members from the 2023 team. There should be 4 men and 1 woman on the team. The team will be eliminated if, at any point, the team does not consist of 3 original team members. An exception may be made due to a medical issue verified by a doctor. Determination will be at the sole discretion of RHR management.
- A completed entry form and full payment must be received at the Winnemucca Convention Center office, 50 W. Winnemucca Blvd., Winnemucca, Nevada, no later than 5:00 p.m. local time (using the Convention Center office clock), Thursday, January 4. The entry will not be accepted if it is incomplete, late or if there is failure to submit full payment.
On Thursday, January 11, 2024, a list of the accepted entries and the number of available spaces will be posted at www.RanchRodeoNV.com. This information may also be obtained by calling the Winnemucca Convention Center at 775-623-5071.
New Entries
New teams desiring to enter the 2024 Ranch Hand Rodeo must complete an entry form with 4 men and 1 woman on the team. The entry form, with full payment, must be submitted to the Winnemucca Convention Center no later than 5:00 p.m. local time (using the Convention Center office clock), Monday, January 8, 2024. The entry will not be accepted if it is incomplete, late or if there is failure to submit full payment.
After entries close, the open spaces plus two alternates will be filled by means of a random drawing. Those submitting new entries are encouraged to attend the drawing following the close of entries.
Entry fee is $625 per team or $125 per person. The full amount of the entry fee must accompany the entry form. Make check payable to the Winnemucca Ranch Hand Rodeo.
